Located in the western coast of Cantabria, in the heart of the Natural Park of Oyambre, is San Vicente de la Barquera. The nucleus of its villa, is eleveted to a hill surrounded by the arms of two estuaries, and from whose top, the totality of the municipality is descried practically: Its characteristic Bridges, the Beaches, the Port and the impressive bulk of Los Picos de Europa presided over by the Naranjo de Bulnes. Here, in this place of incomparable beauty, are the Apartamentos LAS ESCALERILLAS. They are two ample apartments constructed in 2003 within a house of stone and wood of the year 1900, of which the original facade and walls have been conserved. For reconstruction has used one guessed right combination of materials traditional (stone and wood) with modern equipments (floating parquet, glass bricks) that causes that we feel in a place with history, without resigning to the comforts that nowadays all we demanded. The house is located just in the center of the town, in the Mayor Square, reason why we will be able to have breakfast in a terrace, to buy the newspaper or to cross all the villa without using the car. |
